Athelas First Aid provides professional blended first aid and CPR training in Carleton Place, Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley. By booking a course or attending our sessions, you agree to these legal terms, including the requirement to complete all online coursework before participating in the instructor-led portion. Terms of Service & Acceptance
Athelas First Aid provides professional blended first aid and CPR training across Canada, combining convenient online learning with essential in-person practical sessions. By booking a course or attending any training session, you explicitly agree to these Terms of Service.
Training Requirements
For blended courses, participants are strictly required to complete the online portion of the training before attending the in-person session. Failure to do so will result in prohibited entry to the practical class without a refund.
Participant Obligations
Participants must provide accurate information during registration and follow all safety instructions provided by instructors. You must not attend training if you are ill. Disrespectful behavior toward staff or other participants will result in immediate dismissal from the course.
Cancellations & Transfers
Cancellations made more than 7 days ahead receive a full refund minus a $15 admin fee. Transfers require at least 3 days' notice. No-shows, arriving more than 15 minutes late, or failing to complete the online module before class results in forfeiture of all fees.
Legal & Liability
While our training is to the highest standards, attendance does not guarantee specific outcomes in real-world emergencies. You remain responsible for the application of skills learned. Our liability is limited to the course fees paid. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we protect your data.

1. Training Summary
Athelas First Aid provides professional blended learning first aid and CPR training programs across Ontario, Canada, combining efficient online theory with essential in-person practical skills.
2. Agreement to Terms
By booking a course or attending a training session, participants signify their acknowledgement and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Service.
3. Course Prerequisite
Participants must complete the mandatory online theory portion of the blended course prior to attending the in-person practical training session.
4. Participant Obligations
Participants agree to apply with accurate information, follow instructor safety guidance, not attend if feeling ill, and maintain a respectful environment at all times.
5. Cancellation & Transfer
Cancellations 48+ hours before class receive a full refund. Transfers are allowed once per booking if requested 24 hours prior. No-shows are non-refundable.
6. Training Disclaimer
Training does not guarantee specific rescue outcomes. Participants remain solely responsible for the judgment and application of skills learned during the course.
7. Limitation of Liability
Athelas First Aid's liability is limited to the registration fees paid. We are not liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from training.
8. Privacy Policy
The collection and use of participant personal information are handled strictly in accordance with our standalone Privacy Policy.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.

Your Responsibilities
To ensure a safe and effective training environment for everyone at Athelas First Aid, all participants agree to fulfill the following requirements:
- Course Prerequisites: For all blended learning programs, you must complete the required online modules before attending your in-person session.
- Accurate Information: You are responsible for providing truthful and current personal information during registration and updates.
- Safety Protocols: You must strictly follow all health and safety instructions delivered by our instructors during the program.
- Health and Wellness: Do not attend in-person training if you are feeling unwell or displaying symptoms of any illness.
- Respectful Conduct: You must behave respectfully toward staff, instructors, and other students at all times.
Policies
Registration is a commitment. For a full refund, please cancel at least 72 hours before your scheduled class. Transfers to a later date are free of charge if requested more than 48 hours in advance. No-shows or cancellations with less notice result in a forfeited registration fee and are non-refundable.
Disclaimer
Successful certification depends on your active participation and performance. While we provide premium training, we cannot guarantee outcomes in real-life emergencies. You are responsible for how you apply your skills. Our liability is limited to course fees. These terms are governed by Ontario law. Please see our Privacy Policy for data details. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Athelas First Aid and its instructors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses resulting from your attendance at our courses or the application of skills learned. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for your registration.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any legal actions or disputes related to our services will be handled exclusively within the provincial and federal courts located in Ontario.
