Service Description
Refresh your skills. Renew your certification. Stay ready to respond. The Canadian Red Cross CPR-C & AED Recertification course from Athelas First Aid is designed for participants who already hold a valid Canadian Red Cross CPR-C & AED certificate and need to renew their certification. Unlike our blended full course, recertification is completed entirely in person, with approximately 4 hours of instructor-led training and no online component. At Athelas First Aid, you’ll learn from real first responders with real-world emergency experience. Recertification is an opportunity to refresh essential skills, correct bad habits, review current CPR practices, and rebuild confidence before you need those skills in a real emergency. Who Is Eligible? To take the Canadian Red Cross CPR-C & AED Recertification course, you must hold a current, unexpired Canadian Red Cross CPR-C & AED certificate. If your certification has already expired, you are not eligible for the recertification course and must complete the full CPR-C & AED course. Please verify the expiry date on your Canadian Red Cross certificate before registering. What You’ll Review Following the Canadian Red Cross CPR-C & AED curriculum, the course reviews essential knowledge and practical skills, including: • Check, Call, Care and emergency response • Recovery position • Adult, child, and infant choking • Adult, child, and infant CPR • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use • Heart attack and angina • Stroke recognition and response • Deadly bleeding • Assisting with medications The course emphasizes hands-on practice with training manikins and AED trainers, giving you an opportunity to refresh your technique and receive direct instructor feedback. Course Requirements & Certification Participants must attend and participate in 100% of the course, successfully demonstrate the required skills and critical steps, and achieve at least 75% on the knowledge evaluation. Successful participants receive a Canadian Red Cross CPR-C & AED certification valid for three years.
