Service Description

CPR-C & AED Be ready when it matters most. A cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, at any time. Knowing what to do in those first few minutes can make a critical difference. The Canadian Red Cross CPR-C & AED course provides participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to recognize and respond to life threatening emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, choking and mass bleeding to name a few. At Athelas First Aid, we don’t believe CPR training should be about sitting in a classroom and checking a box. Our instructors are real first responders with real-world experience, and we focus on giving you the skills, practice and confidence to actually respond when someone needs you. The Canadian Red Cross CPR-C curriculum includes: * The Red Cross and responding to emergencies * Check, Call, Care — the Red Cross approach to responding to an emergency * Recovery position * Adult choking * Child and baby choking * Assisting with medications * Angina and heart attack * Stroke * Adult CPR * Child CPR * Baby/infant CPR * CPR and AED use for adults, children and babies * Deadly bleeding * Other content required by applicable legislation You’ll also get plenty of hands-on practice, including CPR skills and AED operation, so you aren’t just learning what to do—you are actually practicing how to do it. Certification There are no prerequisites for the course. Successful participants must attend and participate in 100% of the course, demonstrate the required skills and critical steps, and achieve a minimum 75% on the written knowledge evaluation. Successful completion results in a 3-year Canadian Red Cross CPR Level C certification. Course duration: * 3 hours in-class + approximately 3 hours of online learning beforehand for blended delivery. Why Athelas First Aid? Because when an emergency happens, real experience matters. Our instructors bring experience from the front lines of emergency response into the classroom. We make the training practical, engaging and relevant—so you leave knowing what to do, how to do it, and why it matters. Learn it. Practice it. Be ready. Athelas First Aid — First aid training taught by first responders.
